If computational mechanics is considered a theory of structure from an objective point of view, then Cathedral Theory is a theory of structure from a personal, subjective point of view. It seeks to answer questions like "how do I find the epsilon-machine for my mind?" as an instrumental goal for understanding the question "how do I increase the structural complexity of my own mind and my environment?"
